By looking at the demographic pyramid of most countries, including Japan, Europe and China, it can be seen that it will not stand.
- High dependency ratio where the no. of people who retire is high compared with the net producers
- The social safety network will not hold
- The social norm is to have an average of only 1 kid. Even if the policy is released, e.g. China under the 1-child policy, it won't change
- Will become a severe issue in the next few decades
